Christian Tradition · Modern Execution

Catholic charity, on rails that actually move money.

Pretiola helps Catholic ministries receive global donations in minutes instead of weeks — using compliant Web3 settlement, in strict alignment with Holy See guidelines.

Ecclesial Foundation

Independent, Agile, and Canonically Sound.

Traditional philanthropy is often slow and constrained by geographic banking borders. Conversely, many grassroots Catholic ministries lack the structural sophistication to accept modern, global capital safely. Pretiola bridges this gap through a carefully designed, minimalist legal structure.

Canonical Declaration

Pretiola is an independent initiative of lay Catholics exercising their right to found and direct associations for charitable purposes under Canon 215 of the Code of Canon Law.

It operates as a private de facto association governed by its own internal statutes and is not an official entity of the Holy See, the Roman Curia, or the Diocese. Pretiola does not claim the title "Catholic" under the norms of Canon 300. All activities are conducted privately by the Founding Members.

Christ of Saint John of the Cross

Our Expertise

Comprehensive Advisory Pillars

Technology & Web3

Transitioning static digital assets into dynamic, highly secure Global Impact Hubs. We deploy robust, privacy-by-design blockchain solutions and decentralized financial rails tailored for NGOs.

Strategic Structuring

Advising on the absolute minimal canonical formalities required to operate effectively. We help structure de facto private associations and localized civil registrations like community based organizations (CBOs) to eliminate bureaucratic friction.

Impact Communications

Developing media strategies allowing for human dignity to flourish and in strict compliance with international child safeguarding protocols. We translate real-world impact into transparent data while navigating regulatory requirements.

Proof-of-Concept

The Sr. Dolores Foundation, Uganda

VISIT: srdolores-foundation.it →

We are in collaboration with Father Emmanuel Kasibante to develop the operational model for a localized initiative in the village of Binzi. By working as an informal local community based organization, the foundation bypasses national bureaucratic friction while Pretiola bridges international seed capital directly to tangible impact across Four Core Pillars.

I

WASH Infrastructure

Funding the rapid installation of water systems and boreholes, managed locally by formalized Water User Committees to ensure full utilization during the lifetime of the infrastructure.

II

Family Welfare & Sustainable Agriculture

Deploying the “Pass-on-the-Gift” livestock and seed model while transitioning subsistence farmers into the modern monetary economy by formalizing agricultural cooperatives and building capital reserves. Pretiola plans to enable digital tracking of agricultural assets on-chain as they multiply across families in later phases.

III

Scholastic Support

Supporting underprivileged children from poor families to return to class by donating basic scholastic materials: pens, pencils, exercise books, sanitary pads, mathematical sets, rubbers, calculators, rulers, sharpeners, reading books and backpacks.

IV

Pastoral Care

Guided by the teachings of Jesus Christ through the magisterium of the Roman Catholic Church with oversight in Rome, fostering lay leadership and integral ecology strictly aligned with Christian social teaching.

Pretiola's Keeta Grant Proposal

Frictionless Web3 Philanthropy via Keeta.

Traditional cross-border aid is plagued by SWIFT fees, opaque FX rates, and days-long settlement. The Pretiola architecture utilizes the highly parallelized Keeta Blockchain Directed Acyclic Graph (DAG) to solve the "last mile" problem for micro-donations to the Sr. Dolores Foundation.

  • 10+ million TPS & 400ms Settlement

Utilize Keeta's DAG structure for instant ledger updates without traditional mempool bottlenecks.

  • Compliant Tiered KYC via Anchor

Risk-based Simplified Due Diligence allows friction-free crypto micro-donations (e.g., €5), while larger gifts integrate Footprint's robust verification.

  • Direct Fiat Off-Ramp

Integrated with the Keeta Anchor and Bridge by Stripe. Stablecoins (EURC) convert instantly and settle directly into localized Ugandan IBANs via SEPA rails.

Grant Proposal at a Glance

Ecosystem Impact

First real-world charitable use case on Keeta — demonstrating low-friction, compliant micro-philanthropy globally by seamlessly bridging unhosted web3 wallets directly to traditional fiat bank accounts.

Grant Ask

100,000 KTA to be held in the Pretiola treasury for future use acting as an official decentralized representative node. Staking and KUSD fees will be continuously rolled into supporting Pretiola programs and supportive infrastructure.

Timeline & Implementation Phases
Phase 1: Manual Wallet Flow
Completed
Functional Requirements

Directs donors to visit and use the standalone Keeta wallet application to process the end-to-end donation flow manually. Users are required to manually input the recipient organization's IBAN details to execute the fiat off-ramp.

Regulatory Requirements

Strict baseline compliance. Full Footprint KYC verification is required for all donors during wallet onboarding, regardless of the donation amount. While fully compliant, this disproportionate friction severely limits casual impulse micro-donations.

Phase 2: Automated Routing & Tiered Compliance
Months 1-6
Functional Requirements
  • Frictionless "Send and Done": The recipient charities utilize persistent forwarding addresses. Donors simply send stablecoins (e.g., EURC) from their existing unhosted wallets directly to these deposit addresses across supported chains.
  • Automated Off-Ramp: Funds are automatically detected, converted via the Keeta Anchor, and pushed directly to the recipient's bank account without any manual user entry.
  • Transparent Tracking: A live, read-only funding counter and transaction history are integrated directly into the website pulling transparently from public on-chain data.
Regulatory Requirements
  • Recipient KYB: The receiving organization completes a one-time comprehensive KYB (Know Your Business) verification as a trusted entity.
  • Markets in Crypto-Assets Regulation (MiCA) / AMLD6 Tiered KYC: Leveraging the Keeta Anchor, compliance shifts to a risk-based model using Simplified Due Diligence (SDD):
    • Micro (≤50 EUR): No user KYC required. On-chain wallet records satisfy minimal Travel Rule requirements.
    • Standard (51–999 EUR): Basic identity collection (Name + Wallet Address) via a lightweight form.
    • Full (≥1,000 EUR): Full Footprint verification triggered for large transfers prior to processing.
